Spirit Circles are open to the public. You do not have to be an experienced sitter or be psychic or a medium to benefit from the experience. Newcomers are especially welcome.
All Spirit Circles begin on time. No late-comers will be permitted to interrupt the Circle.
Each Circle is conducted by a psychic facilitator who is responsible for leading the Circle.
The Circle is usually started in a room lit with red lights. This allows you to see any developing psychic energies, known as “ether” (looks like fog in the room) or to watch any “transfiguration” (such as faces changing in appearance) that may be occurring. The red lights remain on approximately 10-20 minutes, based on the amount of activity visible.
The main portion of the Circle is conducted in a light-less room. This facilitates the production of psychic phenomena. If you are uncomfortable or claustrophobic in the dark, you may want to reconsider attending. Once the lights are out, you will be asked to remain in your seat for your safety (so you don’t trip on something in the dark and injure yourself). Please use the restroom or get your drink BEFORE the Circle starts.
The facilitator will lead the group through a brief meditation designed to relax the mind and body. This meditation will assist you to relieve burdensome thoughts and problems from your mind as well as assist in raising the energy of everyone and the Circle.
Each Circle will then begin with a prayer. The facilitator will open with a prayer for the “highest good” to be served as well as to invite all your spirit loved-ones, guides, friends, and teachers into the Circle. Let your thoughts be supportive and think about the spirit loved-ones you would like to hear from. To raise the vibrational energy of the circle even further, the facilitator may ask you to join hands and sing.
BE OPEN MINDED. You may be skeptical but be nice. The Spirit People work through the mind, so you will need to try to stay open and clear. Harmony and cooperation are essential. A positive attitude and a sense of optimistic expectancy will give great energy to the Spirits who come through.
You are in a safe environment. There are no negative or evil spirits in our Spirit Circles. Don’t waste your time looking for them. Wisdom River Lodge works only with the “white light of love and protection.” This light is Divine, universal and produced by our prayers for it and concentration on it. This white light surrounds the circle, attracting only spirits of light who come to help, assist, and teach. This light will also repel all negative forces.
Voice what you receive!!!! This is one of the first steps toward progress. The more you speak out, the more you will be aware psychically. However, only one person has the floor at a time. Your facilitator will assist you if you have any questions or need assistance interpreting a message.
Be patient with the messages you receive. Many times we are unable to recognize a spirit when they come in. You also may not be able to place a message as given by a “reader.” In such a case be polite and tell the reader that you can’t place it, but that you’ll keep it in mind. Almost always, by the end of the Circle, it will make sense to you.
Please also let a reader know if you understand a message (or understanding a message for someone you know or are related to in the Circle) by confirming information for the reader. (“Yes, my Uncle Gus use to wear a green baseball cap all the time and call me by the name you just said.”)
Please keep your hands to yourself, unless instructed to hold hands by the facilitator. Never touch another person during a Circle. A touch could prematurely bring a reader who is in trance out of their trance state, or the touch could be misconstrued as spirit.
