As a new student to Reiki, one of my teachers would regale us with stories of the amazing Reiki healings through the hands of Hawayo Takata.  I was taught that Reiki, when applied to an acute injury, could heal almost immediately because the healthy energy of the area could be restored quickly.  If the injury or condition was chronic, more time would be needed to restore healthy energy to the being........  And no one really knows what form the healing will take--whether it will be used to sustain life or to make birthing into the next world easier.....Reiki works only for the highest good.

 

I feel strongly that in order to heal the Earth we must first heal our own chronic conditions, awaken to the radiant light within, and extend this healing to other beings.  This is my dream--to create a co-operatively owned, total immersion living Reiki sanctuary which encourages the cleansing and release of negativity in any being willing to empower themselves in this way. 

 

Picture it with me---The retreat is in a quiet country setting, with plenty of woods for communing with nature, clearings with benches for reflection and contemplation, running water (a small river) to nurture the soul, open areas for stargazing to remember the wonder in each of us........  There is a comfortable house with a large kitchen where healthy, natural diets are prepared with love and compassion and infused with Reiki energy.  There is a warm, well naturally lighted room where thousands of family members and friends learn the joys of living Reiki to lend their love and support to those healing in the retreat.  Some of these people stay on and work as healers in the retreat, if only for a while.  There is a sunroom and numerous areas to sit and be still.  Everything is designed to ease, to sooth, to comfort and to heal--even the music is peaceful and healing.  Those healing in the retreat receive Reiki daily for a minimum of 30 days with experienced practitioners, and are taught the path of living Reiki.  Masters are always available....... 

 

Of course, the retreat is in no way a substitute for medical and/or psychiatric care.  No nursing or medical care is provided, so participants must be able to perform their own care and be safe to be at the retreat.  Hospital and home visits are possible and encouraged for anyone needing them.

 

The Universe compels me to establish this......I stand in this truth.  Those of you who know me, know that I do not easily or quickly ask for help.  Today I am empowered by mutual support and ask everyone reading this to lend your energies to this project, whatever form that may take.  Pray, put the project on your Reiki grid, send Reiki, meditate, visualize, talk about it, email everyone you know, make bumper stickers, organize a Reiki class for me to come teach, talk to your doctor about the benefits of Reiki, organize a free talk for me at your library or club, tell YOUR story of Reiki living within you, but help me get the word out to the world--Healing takes place here!......what we focus on is what we get.  Let our combined focus be on healing everyone and everything that seeks it......

 

I am open to your ideas....thoughts on getting the word out (marketing), places to get funding or lawyers willing to advise on creating a non-profit organization for little or nothing......if you're thinking about it, let me know.  The Universe often sends messages in amazing ways--and you may be that amazing messanger!  Contact me....you know how!  Let me hear your voice in this!
